ABOUT EAST COAST SURFER, LLC

East Coast Surfer, LLC evolved from the belief that there is more than one place to carve one’s line in the world. The Founder, Chris Clark, grew up surfing in Southern Rhode Island, where he and many of his fellow east coasters learned the art of storm surfing. In 2003, these east coasters set out on the first East Coast Surf Odyssey carving spots in Rhode Island, Jersey, Hateras, and the Florida Peninsula. On this odyssey Chris noticed a common thread among the surfers he met. They all felt misrepresented and misunderstood in the world of surf. Many felt like the bastard souls of the surfing world, mentioned only in passing by the surfing Mecca’s of California, Hawaii and Australia. Rather than deny this image, ECS believes the east coast has earned the moniker: “Bastard Souls of Surf.” This venture is an opportunity to represent those cold-water warriors.
